#438 Tristan’s 7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

The Most Important Thing About Followup…
As a business owner, you don’t have to guess that follow-up is key to your success. What’s the real secret though?
Is it the frequency of follow-up?
Is it the method of communication?
Is it the timing of the follow-up?
While all of these elements are important, the most important thing about follow-up with clients is adding value. Adding value starts with your approach too.
What does it mean to add value?
Adding value means to actually care about the people you are working with. To show them you care by showing up as a person that is transparent, one that is always giving back and standing firm on what you know is best for those you work with. It means providing your clients with additional resources, information, or insights that they may not have had access to otherwise. Adding value is about building relationships, establishing trust, and demonstrating your expertise.
What does adding value mean to you?
What I’m Excited About:
The RoadMap Webinar. Our friends at Business Video School are up to something great again. Are you doing the RIGHT things with video in your business? Find out when you join our next FREE training from BVS! We're sharing the Real Estate Video Roadmap, and you won't want to miss it. RSVP here.
Book I’m Reading:
$100 Million Offers. The book has some great ideas that you can implement quickly and some will take a little longer. I would suggest reading this book only if you want to take the time to implement what you learn. If it’s going to be passive reading then don’t pick this one up.
What I’m Watching:
Relax and Focus. This isn’t one that you would watch, but it’s on youtube and I’ve been listening to it in the background during my thinking time. It keeps me focused.
What I’m Listening To:
Navigating the Future Of Marketing. We discuss the evolving landscape of marketing, the role of AI, and the keys to building successful sales teams. Shirdan, who brings over two decades of marketing experience to the table, shed light on his unique approach to marketing, his company's revamped services, and the importance of the human touch in an increasingly tech-driven world.
What I Just Bought:
Pocket Notebook. I just got another one of these, but they are not cheap. I take this one everywhere with me and it’s super sturdy. In fact I made a short video about it if you want to check out how it looks here.
Article I’m Reading:
Adult Learning Theory. This is an interesting read…Adult learning theory gives L&D teams a guidepost for how to design training for maximum engagement. Still, learning leaders should remember to experiment with and test different approaches until they find what works best for their people. A “set it and forget it” mindset will quickly result in outdated content and stagnant learning. Instead, an organization’s learning and development strategy should be in constant evolution.
What Tech I’m Testing Out:
Gamma.App. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and it keeps on getting better. I’m not convinced that this is the one I will end up using to build presentations, but it’s been really good so far.
What I’m Working On:
Social Media Calendar for September. I thought I’d get it out to you early this time. So if you need a social media calendar here it is. If you want it just text me at: (310) 356-3715.
Thank you for reading A Brilliant Tribe.
