7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

A quick note on following up with your clients.

I’ve seen so many agents struggle with follow-up, either because they’re inconsistent, unsure of what to say, or afraid of being too pushy. The truth is, successful follow-up is about building relationships, understanding needs, and being intentional.

Relationship building comes first. Every interaction should lead toward trust and understanding, not just a sale. Hearing “no” is just as valuable as a “yes.” When you shift your mindset, you save time and focus on the right people.

Personalization makes all the difference. People want to feel heard and valued, and tailoring your follow-up shows you care.

This isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about becoming the kind of agent who creates lasting connections, who earns trust, and who truly serves their community.

BOOK I’M READING

We Who Wrestle With God. I just started reading this and it’s good so far. Peterson guides us through the ancient, foundational stories of the Western world. In riveting detail, he analyzes the Biblical accounts of rebellion, sacrifice, suffering, and triumph that stabilize, inspire, and unite us culturally and psychologically.

WHAT I’M WATCHING

Peterson X Tony Robbins. I watched this 2 times and took notes on it. Very powerful interview and I was very impressed by the incite of the interview. I highly recommend this one.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

Jensen Hueng. This is 2 hours long and I listened to it in spurts. Super insightful and inspiring. The podcaster does a great job breaking down the book The Nvidia Way.

WHAT I JUST BOUGHT

Midori Notebook. You all know I love notebooks because I take so many notes and have a lot of notebooks for different things. This one is not expensive and the paper is really really good. This is one of Japans best notebooks.

ARTICLE I’M READING

8 Lessons from the Career of Softbank’s Masayoshi Son. Masayoshi Son, the billionaire founder and CEO of SoftBank, the Japanese media technology conglomerate, is often cast as a dreamer, financial engineer, and speculator. But his career — which has spanned the launch of the personal computer and internet, dotcom boom and bust, the rise of China, the global financial crisis, and the advent of artificial intelligence — offers eight key lessons for leaders. They include:  turn adversity to advantage, find a way to persist, bridge east and west, seek mentors and mentees, go big or go home, don’t let love outweigh logic, beware mercenaries, and focus on the future.

WHAT TECH I’M TESTING OUT

Snipd. I’ve been using this podcast provider to listen to podcasts now for about 1 year. This is the best podcast listener ever. It allows me to clip any sections of the podcast and take notes as i’m listening. So freaking good.
