7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

Nobody woke up this morning hoping to be "sold" something. Especially not by an agent desperate to hit a quota before the year ends. We need to kill the "Always Be Closing" mindset. And frankly, it reeks of desperation. When you look at a person and only see a potential transaction, they feel it. It creates a wall.
They don't see a professional; they see a predator. Real estate is intimate. We are dealing with people's life savings, their marriages, their kids' school districts, and their anxiety.
You don't "close" that kind of business with a script. You earn it by actually giving a damn about the human being sitting across from you.
Stop trying to turn every handshake into a lead. Just be a human. Ask questions. Listen to their fears and concerns. The relationship is the business.
The commission is just the receipt for the trust you built.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
The Ripple
I’m incredibly excited about my new book that I co-wrote with my editor, Traci Hohenstein. It is called The Ripple. It’s been a long time coming, and I can't wait to share the message behind it with all of you. It’s on Audiobook too.
BOOK I’M READING
The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem
I am currently reading this book by Nathaniel Branden. It’s a really old book, but the concepts on living consciously and self-acceptance are timeless. It dives deep into the psychology of confidence and personal integrity in a way few modern books do. It’s really a pretty crazy good book so far.
WHAT I’M WATCHING
How to Live a Meaningful Life
I’m watching this newer TED Talk content featuring Brian S. Lowery. It’s inspirational and explores how we find purpose not just in what we do, but in how we connect with others. In a world that often feels disconnected, this is a powerful reminder of what actually matters.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
The Stubborn Genius of James Dyson
I’m listening to this newest episode of the Founders podcast with David Senra. He breaks down the story of James Dyson, who built a massive empire on a philosophy of total control and obsession with product quality. The lessons on perseverance, going through 5,127 prototypes, are absolutely incredible. It’s been my favorite of the last few months for sure.
WHAT I JUST BOUGHT
Parker Jotter Gel Pen
I just bought this from Amazon last week and I love it. Sometimes the best investments are the small ones that bring daily comfort. It writes incredibly smoothly and is perfect for jotting down quick ideas.
ARTICLE I’M READING
10 Crucial Lessons That Will Elevate Your Business Success in 2025
This is a powerful article I’m reading that was written in the last few months. It goes beyond the usual platitudes and offers a concrete roadmap for growth and adaptability in the new year. It’s a great piece to read if you are looking to reset your mindset and push for personal excellence as we head into the next season.
WHAT TECH I’M TESTING OUT
VIDIQ
I’m testing out VIDIQ for my YouTube videos. It’s incredible for keyword research and helping you understand what your audience actually wants to watch. It really shows how data can help you grow your channel faster.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON
Ai Prompt To Convert Your Audience To Clients
I am working on this new document. It’s a guide designed to help agents generate momentum and secure clients using specific AI prompts. It’s packed with the exact strategies needed to fill a pipeline quickly. If you want this just email me back and I’ll send it to you. [email protected].
