7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

Everything in your career starts with one decision: believing you can do it. 

Before anyone else trusts you, you have to trust yourself first. That belief isn't arrogance, it's the quiet confidence that says "I belong here and I'm going to show up every day." When you genuinely believe in your ability to learn and serve people well, it changes how you handle rejection and how you bounce back when things fall apart.

Most people get it backwards, they wait for success to give them confidence. But belief comes first. You have to choose it before you have evidence it's justified. That's the leap. 

When you decide you're capable of building something meaningful, you stop asking for permission and start giving yourself the green light. 

That's where success begins and ends.

The Greatest Sentence Ever Written
This might be the shortest book you read this year, but it’s very pertinent for the atmosphere of our country right now. And the author is a well renowned writer as well. Could be a great read if you’re interested in the American Declaration of Independence.

How The Economic Machine Works
I watched this 2 times this week and sent it to my kids too. They had to write a page on what they learned about this so I understood they understood it too. Share this with your friends. It’s a great one.

Harry Potter Part 1
Audible had a free download of the audio version on Friday and I downloaded it. I hadn’t read part one for over 15 years at least. They did a great job with this production with a full cast and I’m about half way done already. Very fun to listen to.

Remarkable Move
I didn’t buy this for myself, but I got it on my birthday from my wife. I love this little device. I’m taking it everywhere and using this to take quick notes and deep notes. I know how to figure out how to simplify the folders I keep my notes in. Great piece of tech.

AI-powered search engines, such as Google's AI Overviews, can provide direct answers to questions, eliminating the need to navigate through links and find the information you need. However, the article also highlights the potential risks and challenges associated with AI-generated information, including the possibility of hallucinations and the potential for misinformation. Great read to bring us up to date with where we are on how online search is evolving.

Google just keeps making this better and a lot of people I talk to don’t use it. It feels like it’s a secret weapon for keeping things organized and getting more out of specific topics I'm interested in. I would highly suggest you check this out.
