7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

Les Schwab’s quote is basically saying that if you want to succeed at something, you need to put a lot of energy into it, do it a lot, and keep doing it over and over.

First, whatever you’re working on, you should approach it with enthusiasm and passion. Don’t just do the bare minimum—really dive in and give it your best effort.

Second, it’s not enough to just do it once or twice. You need to do it on a larger scale, meaning do it a lot, whether it’s selling, marketing, or any task you’re focusing on.

Finally, you need to keep repeating the process. Success doesn’t happen overnight, so it’s about doing the same thing over and over until it works.

In short: work hard, do a lot of it, and keep going. That’s how you build lasting success.

How to make a few billion dollars. The title is obnoxious, but the lessons in the book are very good. I highly recommend this book because it has practical advice that you can apply to your business and the author has lived a life of massive financial success as well.

The Lessons He Learned From Steve Jobs. This is probably the shortest youtube video you’ll watch this week, but the 3 minutes can change how you approach running your business. Jony Ive says something in the last 1 minute of this video that really changed how I approach running my team. One of my favorite videos that I’ve repeatedly watched in the last few years.

Matthew Dicks: How to Tell a Story so That Everyone Listens. Last week I gave you the wrong link, this is the right one and holy moly it’s powerful. If you want to tell better stories this is the podcast you will listen to and then replay it.
