7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

Becoming a better business owner means recognizing when you’re having a tough moment and understanding that it shouldn’t influence how you treat clients, colleagues, or competitors.
Instead of making snap judgments when deals fall through or negotiations get stressful, focus on staying professional, moving forward with patience, and not creating unnecessary drama in transactions or relationships.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
Your Daily Real Estate Podcast. The podcast is picking up steam even more and so is the Youtube Channel. If you want to get some amazing ideas for your real estate business and you want to be inspired daily then please listen to or watch the youtube channel.
BOOK I’M READING
The Art Of Learning. If you’ve heard of or watched the movie, Searching for Bobbie Fisher, well this is the author of that book. Bobbie Fisher is actually Josh Waitzkin, the Chess Master and child prodigy. The book is fabulous and I wish I had read it earlier in my career.
WHAT I’M WATCHING
The #1 Mistake Real Estate Agents Make. This one is my video. It’s one I did 2 weeks ago and it’s still gaining traction. I re-watched it to see how we can refine how we talk to our clients. I am about to add 5 more to it, I’m just making sure that the 9 here are amazing, which they are. Watch it please.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
The Man That Makes Millionaires. I took a lot of notes on this one and some of the things said in this podcast will not land well on some business owners. It’s a 3 Hour interview with Alex Hormozi and it was very well done. I got some ideas on what I can change in my approach to business and it was worth the listen. I also listened to it on 1.4X Speed so it didn’t seem as long.
WHAT I JUST BOUGHT
Brown Black Ink Pens. Yes, I love writing and so what type of pens I use matters. These are brown ink and I use them in my journal that keeps me accountable to myself. I write in brown to see what I actually did throughout the day to know what I actually did vs what I wrote I was going to do. I love the brown color.
ARTICLE I’M READING
The 4 Types of Thinking Leaders Need To Practice and Think. What does it mean to add value? Adding value arises not just from solving a problem, but from solving the right problem, in ways that no one expected, to arrive at an even better outcome. These kinds of solutions don’t come from our everyday ways of thinking. They come from expert thinking, critical thinking, strategic thinking, and systems thinking—skills that consistently make it on those ubiquitous lists of things leaders at every level have to be really good at to meet the challenges of the future. If you’re a leader looking for your company to add value for clients and customers, or a manager looking for ways your team can add value, you need to be building these skills in your people. The problem for many leaders and managers, however, is that when we use terms like expert, critical, strategic, or systems thinking, too often we don’t know when to apply or even how to define them. The authors explore these four distinct types of thinking skills in depth, including what they mean and when they should be used, along with some tips for using AI tools as a thinking partner.
