Tristan’s 7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

Hi ,
Your attitude is one of the few things in your day that's completely yours. Everything else is reaction. So why would you leave it to chance? Build a process. Check it every morning the same way you check your phone, your calendar, your bank account.
Your attitude is your responsibility. Nobody else is going to do it for you. 🩵
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
A Brilliant Tribe AI Coaching. We just crossed 500 users inside our AI workshop, and I'm not slowing down. The goal isn't to scare agents into thinking AI is going to replace them. It's the opposite. Agents who learn this stuff become faster, sharper, and harder to compete with. If you're a real estate agent and you haven't built AI into your day yet, this is your sign.
BOOK I’M READING
1929: Inside the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History by Andrew Ross Sorkin. I'm rereading this one and taking serious notes the second time through. The parallels to right now are everywhere, and they're not subtle. Speculative euphoria, ignored warning signs, the seductive idea that "this time is different." Sorkin's a masterful storyteller, but the real value is using the book as a mirror for what's happening in our economy today.
WHAT I’M WATCHING
The Hardest Part Of Being A Leader by Simon Sinek. This one's short but it hit me right between the eyes. Simon's whole point is that real leadership means giving up the urge to be the smartest person in the room. Just because you know the answer doesn't mean you should give it. If you lead anyone, watch this.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
How to Simplify Your Life in 2026 (#864) on The Tim Ferriss Show. Tim's latest episode asks one simple question. What are 1 to 3 decisions you could make right now that would dramatically simplify your life in 2026? He brings in Anne Lamott, Claire Hughes Johnson, David Yarrow, and Diana Chapman to answer it. Diana's line stuck with me: "Low drama makes a very simple life." Worth the listen this week.
WHAT I JUST BOUGHT
Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator. My dog peed on my office floor while I was running a live webinar. Couldn't pause, couldn't clean it up, had to sit there pretending nothing was happening. So I ordered this the second I logged off. It's the highest-rated pet odor spray on Amazon with over 111,000 reviews and 4.4 stars, and it actually works. Enzymes break down the smell at the source instead of covering it up. If you have pets, keep a bottle in the house.
ARTICLE I’M READING
The Best Leaders Embrace the Role of Supporting Character by Jamil Zaki in HBR. This one makes a case I haven't heard enough lately. The best leaders aren't the heroes in their own stories. They're the supporting characters in their team's stories. Intellectual humility, better questions, helping people connect their work to their own values. It's a quiet kind of leadership that actually compounds.
WHAT TECH I’M TESTING OUT
Perplexity Comet. I'm deep into Comet right now, building out actual websites with it, and I'm genuinely impressed at how easy it is. You describe what you want, it builds it. No coding. No drag-and-drop frustration. For agents who've been putting off building their site or their lead capture pages, this changes the math completely. Worth playing with this weekend.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON
I'm building out a simple prompt that pulls your brand kit straight from your website. Colors, fonts, voice, everything. And if you don't have a brand kit yet, the prompt walks you through building one from scratch. If you want it, just shoot me an email at [email protected].
