Tristan’s 7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc... (1)

You just saw the scenario differently.

I love that feeling when you talk stuff out with someone and you both become aware that neither of you was wrong. You just saw the scenario differently. Talking really should be about seeing things from their perspective, rather than the need to be right

Let’s go!

What I’m Excited About

New podcast. We just dropped a new podcast that’s coming out daily. It’s a short deep dive into what you should be doing and focused on to help you get to the next level in real estate. Save it and listen to it on Apple or Spotify or anywhere else.

Book I’m Reading:

Assassins Apprentice: I’ve always wanted to read this series by Robin Hobb and I’m finally reading it. I am about halfway through, and I love it. I understand why it’s a classic. If you’re into fantasy, you’ve got to pick up this trilogy.

What I’m Watching:

Kennedy’s Greatest Speech. I’ve never heard this speech before and I connected with it. It resonated with me especially, especially listening to it right after Thanksgiving.

What I’m Listening To:

Tim Ferris with Morgan Housel. This episode was fun to listen to. It’s two hours long, but Morgan jumps into talk about the psychology of money and his great That he just released, which was phenomenal.

What I Just Bought:

Gel Stillform Pen. I got this for Black Friday and it just got delivered. I love the way it writes and it’s thin so I can get small writing in where I need it. If you like very thin, writing devices then this is the one for you.

Article I’m Reading:

Purpose That Motivates Your Team. While many leaders strive to energize and motivate their teams to do work that matters, the unfortunate reality is that employees often feel disconnected to their company’s core purpose. Purpose statements, if they exist at all, tend to be too vague or too lofty, or both. To use purpose to drive business, leaders need to balance idealism and pragmatism. This article discusses how to develop and implement a purpose for your business that is both clear and demanding, and that stretches between current strategy and long-term plans.

What Tech I’m Testing Out:

Relume. This AI website allows you to build out websites that are pretty amazing. I can’t wait to see how it develops but it’s worth looking at and testing out.

What I’m Working On:

Social Media Calendar. Some of you missed the calendar last week. Go ahead and text me if you need it: 310-356-3715.
