Tristan’s 7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc... (1)

Writing in a journal reminds you of your goals and your learning in life. It offers a place where you can hold a deliberate, thoughtful conversation with yourself.

Robin S. Sharma

The conversation you have with yourself is a direct reflection of your mindset. If you are telling yourself “that was stupid”, “why is this happening to me”, “I can’t take this anymore, and “why is everyone against me” this is what creates most of your problems in your life.

Family, friends, work, etc... You must create your life from the inside out!

What I’m Excited About

Team/Broker Coaching. We’re calling it The Visionaries. Finally going to launch this next week. You’ll be getting emails about this next week, but if you’re interested in learning more about it early please let me know. I will email you back the details. Website is just about ready too.

Book I’m Reading:

Real Estate Prospecting. I’m in the middle of doing the audible version of this book so I have to read my own book. If you haven’t picked up my book yet, it’s got a great price right on Amazon. If you have picked it up and read it please leave a review.

What I’m Watching:

Let curiosity lead. Don't second-guess what "distracts" you, says actor-producer Yara Shahidi; that's your curiosity coming through. The star of hit shows like "black-ish" and "grown-ish" tells how she learned to spot clues to her own future — and how you can, too.

What I’m Listening To:

How to Launch a Million-Dollar Business This Weekend. This is a 4 hour podcast. Very unusual, but it’s super powerful, especially if you’re looking to grow a business or your looking for ideas on how to get a business started. Pretty powerful overall.

What I Just Bought:

Parker Jotter Ballpoint Pen. Ok, theres a twist here. I ordered this pen, but I got the gel ink separately. I love this combo because the pen is inexpensive and the gel ink is amazing to write with. If you like pens and don’t want to spend a lot of money then this is it.

Article I’m Reading:

A simple way to introduce yourself. Many of us dread the self-introduction, be it in an online meeting or at the boardroom table. Here is a practical framework you can leverage to introduce yourself with confidence in any context, online or in person: Present, past, and future. You can customize this framework both for yourself as an individual and for the specific context. Perhaps most importantly, when you use this framework, you will be able to focus on others’ introductions, instead of stewing about what you should say about yourself.

What Tech I’m Testing Out:

Mindmeister. If you’re coaching with me you know that I use flowcharts often and I’ve been digging more into MindMeister. If you haven’t checked it out please do because it makes flowcharts so much easier.

What I’m Working On:

February Social Media Calendar. This is something I’m always tweaking, and I just changed the old one up a little bit. If you need the new one just text me: (310) 356-3715. See you later…
