Book I’m Reading:
Elon Musk. This is a good read. It comes from all angles so it doesn’t paint a rosy picture of Elon, it gives you a diverse look to a complicated person. Walter Isaacson doesn’t disappoint.
What I’m Watching:
James Clear. I just finished watching this Masterclass and it’s now one of my favorites. If you have Masterclass watch it this week. It’s not short so break it down into a few days. Great to watch this for a lot of people who want to make changes in their lives for 2024.
What I’m Listening To:
Seth Godin. In case you missed it, I had an insightful conversation with Seth Godin. This episode originally aired June 2, 2023. The importance of this conversation is even more important now when we are seeing people look for significance in their lives and business. Listen in.
What I Just Bought:
Hoodie From Marine Layer. Just got this sweater in blue, yes I get a lot of hoodies, don’t judge me LOL. I have a red one and I use it for a series I have on social media. The character Stan wears it as he disagrees with everything I say. The sweater is so comfortable and keeps me warm. If you’re looking for a great hoodie this may be the one.
Article I’m Reading:
4 Ways to make work more meaningful. Curiosity is not just a medium by which we achieve professional success, it’s also imperative to unlocking purpose and meaning at work. Curiosity about ourselves, our work, and our colleagues is the key to unlocking the significance behind our work. Adopting the mindset of curiosity with the intention of discovering purpose is made possible through four simple practices: crafting your work, making work a craft, connecting work to service, and investing in positive relationships. With these essentials in mind, we’re prompted to ask the right questions and come into each work day more intentionally, carefully, and mindfully.
What Tech I’m Testing Out:
Claude Ai. I find it easier to use than ChatGPT and it gives great information. Makes it really easy to upload docs and allows you to interact with the document. Claude is a powerful next-generation AI assistant developed by Anthropic. Claude was developed out of Anthropic’s desire to create a beneficial and trustworthy AI system that doesn’t produce harmful outputs.
