Tristan’s 7+1: What I'm reading, watching, listening to, etc...

It means if you give yourself 2 hours to finish up a task then you’re probably going to take up those 2 hours to finish. Same applies to meetings

One of the most challenging things to do on social media is find your pillars. Those things that you’ll talk about routinely so people will connect with, follow you, and share your content.

Over the last 7 years, I’ve developed this simple method to find your pillars. If you continually show up daily and alternate between the acronym STAY, you should be able to produce great content and then look back after creating 30 pieces of content to see what connected with your audience and what didn’t.

S - Sell, it’s time to show the world what you do. What you have for sale, who you helped, how your company is doing, etc…

T - Teach, this is where you help the consumer by explaining how to get a loan, what to look for in an inspection, how long it takes to close on a home, etc…

A - Advice, this one can be as easy as a quote about life or leadership or you can get into giving advice about something you are great at. Think of a hobby and explain how you do what you do. It can be gardening, running, gaming, etc…

Y - You, at the end of the day it comes back to you. Show people the things you do on a daily basis. Tell a story about where you eat, what you listen to, what you watch, what you think, and let people get to know you on social media.

Let’s make it happen!

What I’m Excited About

“Excellent! Relevant and easy to implement. Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2023. I have read several real estate books but this one I have to say really resonates with me! There is a wealth of relevant knowledge, mindset tips, easy-to-follow actionable steps, and strategies! I love that is holistic in its approach and focuses on authentic relationships. This is the first book I have highlighted paragraphs, taken notes, re-read sections, and implemented actions. An excellent resource for new and experienced agents!”

Book I’m Reading:

$100M Offers. This book is short and it packs a punch. I just read it this weekend and I’m still going back to my notes to see what I’ll be implementing. If you’re looking to get some ideas for jump-starting your business this just might be the book for you.

What I’m Watching:

What Youtubers don’t tell you about starting a channel. I came across this YouTube video by accident. And I thought I’d give it a chance. After watching it, I realize that I was going back to it because she made a lot of great points and a lot of sense. If you’re looking to start your channel, this is a great video to watch.

What I’m Listening To:

Unleashing Intuition. The more I engaged with this Guest, the more I was surprised by her answers. She made a lot of sense and I really enjoyed our conversation. She really made me think deeper about going with my intuition and trusting my gut more. This is a wonderful conversation that will make you think a little bit deeper.

What I Just Bought:

Notsu Index Cards. If you use index cards then you’re going to love this product. I just got this because I ran out of my previous index cards and I love using these for quick checklists or writing things are important to me so I don’t forget them when I’m on the go.

Article I’m Reading:

Bertrand Russell: On Avoiding Foolish Opinions. We’d all like to avoid folly, wouldn’t we? Avoiding stupidity is easier than seeking brilliance. It doesn’t take a genius. Only a few simple ideas. Philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872-1970) offers some advice, which will not keep us from all error but will help us navigate away from obvious error.

What Website I’m Testing Out:

Scribe. Do you spend hours answering “how do I...” questions? Scribe is the easiest way to show anyone how to do anything. Auto-generate how-to guides for any process, in seconds. My friend told me about it 2 weeks ago and I’ve been toying with it.

What I’m Working On:

Social Media Calendar for September. I thought I’d get it out to you early this time. So if you need a social media calendar here it is. If you want it just text me to: (310) 356-3715.

Thank you for reading A Brilliant Tribe.
